PBA 15TH PENANG (MALAYSIAN) JUNIOR OPEN 2017

30th June – 5th July, at Nicol David International Squash Centre, Bukit Dumbar

By : YB Chong Eng

Good Afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. We would like to announce that the Squash Racket Association of Penang (SRAP) will be organizing the PBA 15th Penang (Malaysian) International Squash Championship from 30th of June to 5th of July at Nicol David International Squash Centre (NDISC), Bukit Dumbar. This is a international standard event that recognized and sanctioned by Squash Racket Association of Malaysia (SRAM), Asian Squash Federation (ASF) and World Squash Federation (WSF). The state government, Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang (MBPP) and Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang (MSNPP) will support the event as well. St. Giles Wembley Hotel is the official hotel and DUNLOP will be the prizes sponsor for the top 4 players for each category.

None the less, we would like to thank the main sponsor Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBA) who has been supporting the event for more then a decade. The belief and support to generate a platform for the Malaysian to compete with international players from all over the world locally. We really look forward for more local players to excel and fill up the gap of the top seeded players that Malaysia used to have, they are non-other then Dato Nicol David, Low Wee Wern and others. It is a good news indeed that we received 15% more on local entries compare to last years. Wish all of them will gain a great experience and improve their game to another level.

I would like to challenge the associations and coaches to work harder and closer to look into the ways and means that we can let our country proud and excited. The success does not come tomorrow, we need to plan and revive our plan from time to time to achieved our goal soon, I hope. With the help of the State Government and MSN, we would like to see our state and country shine again and again.

I would like to thank the team of people who has been very delicate and committed to the development of squash, let work harder and strive for more excellent results.

Thank you.
